خلاصه فارسی جلد اول:
داستان درباره دختری است که در یک خانواده جادوگر بدنیا آمده است اما هیچ استعداد جادوگری ندارد به همین دلیل همیشه سعی می کند که از خانواده خود فاصله بگیرد و بیشتر با آدم های معمولی ارتباط داشته باشد،هرچند اوپس از مدتی متوجه می شود که خانواده ای درباره نداشتن جادو به او دروغ گفته اند.تامسین توی یه مدرسه شبانه روزی به دور از خانواده اش زندگی می کنه خانواده ای که همشون جادوگرند, حتی پسر دایی و دختر دایی ها هم موهبت مخصوص به خود شون رو دارند به استثنای تامسین و با اینکه مادربزرگش موقع تولدش این پیشگویی رو در موردش انجام داده که اون یکی از نیرومندترینها خواهد بود . اما با این همه تامسین هیچ موهبتی نداره پس خودش را مجزا از خانواده اش می دونه . تا اینکه پروفسوری جوان اونو با خواهر بسیار با استعدادش رووینا اشتباه می گیره و تامسین موافقت می کنه تا ارث خانوادگی این پروفسور رو براش پیدا کنه غافل از اینکه .....
